You won’t find lecture halls or courses being taught by teaching assistants here. Centenary professors teach all courses, with a focus on creating a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Our students are an active and integral part of the process. You won’t have to wait to pursue your passion either; you’ll take courses for your major during your first semester.

Leadership opportunities, such as NCAA Division III athletics and more than 30 clubs and student organizations, allow you to grow and stand out. Centenary students in the Enactus program apply business principles they’ve learned in class to help solve real-life issues. Recently they went to Guapi, Columbia to assist those in need by helping local artisans establish sustainable businesses.

Centenary University has a student-friendly application process so that you can focus on the most important part of your college search — picking the school that is the best fit for you.

We offer both Early Action and Regular Decision processes for students applying for fall admission. In most cases, students receive an admissions decision within two weeks of Centenary receiving the application and other required documents.

Our admissions counselors are always ready to answer questions that you may have about the application process or about why Centenary is a wonderful place to continue your education.

Students may complete either Centenary’s online application or the Common Application. In addition to your application, we will need:

• Your official high school transcript
• Your official SAT or ACT scores (Recommended, not required)
• A 250-word essay (Recommended, not required)
• Letters of recommendation are no longer accepted. Please do not provide these documents as they will have no impact on the admission decision.

Early Action
Students interested in receiving an early admission decision to Centenary University for the fall semester can choose to apply for “Early Action” by indicating so on either their Common Application or Centenary’s online application. To receive an early admission decision, all required application documents must be received in the Office of Admissions by Nov. 1. Early Action is a non-binding agreement. It gives you an early response to your application, but you do not have to commit to attending Centenary until you are ready.

Regular Decision
Regular Decision is available for students applying for the fall semester beginning Nov. 2. All applications are evaluated on a rolling basis once required documents have been received. Students receive an admissions decision within two weeks of Centenary receiving the application and other required documents.

While most students apply in the fall or winter for the following fall semester, our rolling admissions process allows you to apply at any time prior to the beginning of the semester.

Centenary will begin to review your financial aid once you have been admitted. To ensure that we’re able to process your financial aid package in a timely manner, please include Centenary’s school code (002599) on your FAFSA. If you are not completing the FAFSA, please notify our Financial Aid Office as soon as possible.

In an effort to reward outstanding academic achievement, Centenary has established a variety of scholarships and awards to recognize our incoming students. Although many Centenary students demonstrate financial need, these awards are based solely on academic achievement and promise for excellent scholarship at Centenary. All students who apply for admission to Centenary University are considered for these awards.

Students remain eligible for their Admission Scholarships and Awards as long as they maintain continuous full-time enrollment and meet the minimum standards for satisfactory academic progress.

Decided that Centenary is the perfect place for you? Congratulations! You can confirm your enrollment by submitting a deposit.

Commuter students should submit a $100 enrollment deposit, and resident students should submit a $300 deposit ($100 enrollment deposit, plus $200 housing deposit).

After submitting your deposit you’ll be able to register for classes for the upcoming semester. An academic advisor will meet with you personally to review your degree sequence and plan your courses. While you can register any time before the start of classes, we recommend completing this step during Advising Days in May and June to ensure that there is plenty of space in the courses you wish to take.
