Counseling for Individuals
Individual counseling sessions may be scheduled at the Counseling Center during the fall and spring semesters. Appointments are available during office hours (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm) and can be made to accommodate the student’s schedule. Sessions typically last for 45 minutes.

Uwill offers students free, immediate access to teletherapy, a direct crisis connection, and wellness programming through an easy-to-use, online platform.

To schedule teletherapy:
Register/login to Uwill and choose a therapist based on your preferences including availability, issue, gender, language, and ethnicity. You can choose a time that fits your schedule with day, night, and weekend availability. Register and book your first session in just minutes using your school email. Couples Counseling
Counseling is available to couples when both are students of the university.

Crisis Assistance
The professional staff of the Counseling Center will respond to crises during regular business hours. After hours, ProtoCall Services will provide crisis intervention by phone. ProtoCall Services are an extension of the Counseling Center’s team and are fully integrated into our systems. The next business day we will be notified of all calls so that we can provide the appropriate follow-up.

Let’s Talk Hour
Daily walk-in hour during fall and spring semesters, Monday-Friday 12pm-1pm. In person or virtual.

Consultation
Consultation is offered to faculty and staff who seek guidance and support regarding concerns they may have for a student or group of students.

Referrals
The staff of the Counseling Center maintains a network of referrals to outside mental health professionals and other helpful resources.


Workshops and Outreach Programs

Mental Health Workshops
Educational programs are scheduled regularly throughout the academic year on a variety of topics including depression, anxiety, grief, stress and coping, alcohol and post-traumatic stress.  To request a program, please call the Counseling Center at ext. 2125 or email us at counselingcenter@centenaryuniversity.edu.

Suicide Prevention Training
Staff of the Counseling Center are certified suicide prevention trainers. If you would like to be trained or would like to provide training to a group, please contact the Counseling Center at ext. 2125 or email us at counselingcenter@centenaryuniversity.edu.

Mental Health First Aid
The Counseling Center offers Adult and Youth MHFA courses to the Centenary and Warren County communities. Courses are offered in person and virtually.  To inquire about hosting a MHFA course, please email the Counseling Center at counselingcenter@centenaryuniversity.edu or call ext. 2125
