Biography

Kristin Hendrickson lived in Ocean View, New Jersey until 2007, when she relocated to Hackettstown, NJ to attend Centenary University for its Equine Studies program. As a student, Kristin quickly became involved in the barn work study program, where her dedication shined.

Not only was she employed through the University, she also worked at First Edition Farm in Tewksbury, NJ. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011, Kristin was offered a full-time barn management position at First Edition Farm. While at First Edition Farm, the majority of Kristin’s work days were spent on the road, grooming and showing.

She also had the opportunity to work with several young horses for resale. After two years of managing First Edition Farm, Kristin accepted a new management position at Green Valley Development, a private farm using artificial insemination to produce high quality foals.

In her new position, Kristin learned that she loved being involved with the entire maturation process of the horse. She was part of the process every step of the way, from conception, to watching the horses foal, and even helping with their first time in the show ring.

In August of 2014, Kristin returned to Centenary as a Barn Manager with the intention to impart the wisdom she has acquired, to the Centenary students, in order to help them reach their full potential, and be successful within the Equine Industry.
