In Centenary University’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, Finance concentration, you will learn the skills needed to serve in a variety of financial roles in both corporate and small-business settings. You will learn how to evaluate the ways in which a company earns revenue and how to improve its ability to maximize profits.
The Finance curriculum includes core business classes in areas including management and marketing and progresses into advanced courses in accounting and investment and financial analysis. Centenary also offers an innovative 150-credit dual major in Accounting and Business Administration: Finance. This program allows motivated students to complete the requirements for CPA licensure in just four years, saving time and money.
At Centenary, we train financial professionals who are prepared to do more than just keep the books. We view the profession as a sort of “physician of business,” whose goal is to diagnose the challenges a company faces and offer strategies to keep it healthy.
This in-demand field includes positions such as accountants, financial analysts and investment analysts, but our graduates routinely find employment in all facets of the business world. Because of the strength of our program, Centenary regularly places graduates with the “Big Four” accounting firms as well as large companies such as Mars and ADP.
Most of our Business Administration classes include an experiential component in which you will work on real business projects — a boost for your skill set and your resume.
Our students also run Warren County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax assistance to low-income residents. The program has saved these taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars over the years in tax credits and accounting fees.
For every top corporate executive, you’ll find a finance expert at his or her side. Is that you?
