Our residence halls are a quiet retreat from academics, sports, and activities on campus


We maintain eight residence halls for over 700 students. Each hall is different and offers living spaces with a variety of configurations:

  • Double rooms 
  • Single rooms 
  • Apartment style 1-bedroom units


Most residence halls feature community bathrooms, with free laundry facilities, and game rooms.

    Anderson Hall

    Features double rooms with a community bathroom located on each floor. Two lounges have a pool table and foosball. *

    There are limited single rooms available to those approved through DSO.

    Bennett-Smith Hall

    Designed as an apartment-style residence for upperclassmen. Each apartment contains a kitchen and living room, four single bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Additional fees apply.

    Founders Hall

    Lotte Hall

    Catering to transfer and returning students, the residence offers a community kitchen.

    Reeves Hall

    Accommodations for returning students include double rooms organized in groups, each around a shared bathroom. Quiet study areas are available. *There are limited single rooms available to those approved through DSO.

    Smith Hall

    Similar to Reeves Hall, Smith is home to first-year students. Accommodations include double rooms organized in groups, each around a shared bathroom. Quiet study areas are available. *There are limited single rooms available to those approved through DSO.

    Washabaugh Hall

    Features double and triple rooms with walk-in closets and built-in desks. A unique atrium provides a centrally located garden. *There are limited single rooms available to those approved through DSO.

Basic procedures for requesting housing accommodations


  1. Complete the Application for Housing Accommodations and Services. This can be picked up at the Disability Services Office or you can email [email protected] to get a copy.
  2. Submit the application and any other supporting documentation that verifies functional limitations imposed by the disability(ies) that you identified in the application. If you need additional guidance regarding documentation guidelines, reach out to the Disability Services Office or refer to the Documentation Guidelines posted on the Disability Services Office website page.
  3. The Housing Accommodations Committee will review your application and documentation and a representative from the Disability Services Office will discuss your disability-related accommodation needs with you.
  4. DSO will contact you to inform you of the accommodation(s) that have been approved. Notification will be sent to your Centenary email address.


*Note: You must pay your housing deposit and complete necessary paperwork for housing selection with the Office of Residence Life.

Applications for first-time students planning to attend Centenary for the fall semester must be submitted by June 30th.

The Office of Residence Life is located in the Seay Building, main floor next to the Student Activities Center.

MicroFridge

MicroFridge© units are perfect for any dorm room, or apartment, and is equipped with a microwave, freezer, and refrigerator all in one attached unit. 


Roommates often chose to share a MicroFridge© to limit the amount of space taken up, but each student can bring their own. 


Before you move in, your MicroFridge© will be delivered to your room so that you avoid the hassle of transporting your unit, and they will also pick up the MicroFridge© unit at the end of the year once you are moved out.


All MicroFridge© units must be purchased through the MicroFridge© website, or phone at 800-525-7307.

Residence Hall Closing and Break Information

Interested in becoming a resident assistant?

Working as an RA in our on-campus housing, you will take on many responsibilities:

  • Coordinate effective hall programming
  • Serve as a resident resource
  • Work as a liaison between residents and the Residence Life office
  • Maintain a safe environment conducive to academia and community
  • Enforce rules and policies
  • Help deal with emergency situations
  • Assist with opening and closing the residence halls
  • Help maintain residence hall conditions through logs and designated room and building inspections.

Ariyana Campbell '27 - Majoring in Psychology 

"I want to be an RA because I’m passionate about community building and I’ve been at schools where RAs didn’t make an effort to connect. In fact, I never spoke to or saw them except for a mandatory meeting which was once per semester. Now, at Centenary, I see my RAs all the time, they plan activities that actually cater to the interests of the residents, I’m able to comfortably talk to them 1 on 1, and they’ve built a real sense of community. I want to be an RA to create that same experience for others."

Becoming an RA is selective, however, we strongly encourage you to apply if you can meet the following requirements:

  • Have a 2.5 cumulative average at the time of application and maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Be a student in good standing
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities


The selection process includes an application, an interview, and participation in a group process.
