In addition to its strong academic foundation, Centenary’s Equine Studies program places an emphasis on real-world experiences. Internships are available at breeding and training stables, veterinary practices and clinics, therapeutic riding programs, equine publications, pharmaceutical companies, public relations and marketing firms, and lesson facilities.
Our graduates routinely find employment with top equestrian centers and equine organizations in the United States and beyond. In recent years, graduates have gone on to work at organizations including Spruce Meadows, Zoetis, CWD, Devocoux, Horse Flight, Brook Ledge, The Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Breyer, Smart Pak, B.W. Riding equipment is necessary for all Equine Studies majors, minors, and elective riders. All items listed are required unless noted as optional.
The Equestrian Center Handbook outlines the policies and procedures that all Equine majors, minors, and elective enrollees in equine related courses are expected to follow.
In order to help each rider succeed and progress, and ensure the safety of our students and horses while doing so, each student in the riding program will be required to complete the Equestrian Health and Fitness Declaration Form.
