Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are vital to TRAC’s mission! We simply could not provide the services that we do without the generous donation of time, energy and skill from volunteers just like you! This is an opportunity to help others, learn new skills with horses and people, get great exercise, have fun, and join a supportive community!

Volunteers assist with our therapeutic riding program on a weekly basis when program is in session. Experienced horse people are asked to lead horses and assist in getting them ready for lessons and putting them away afterwards. People with little to no experience around horses can assist by acting as side walkers – some riders require a leader and two side walkers for safety reasons.

In addition, we have volunteer opportunities related to our community partnership and veterans programming, provision of virtual services, outreach and fundraising and for special events.

Orientation and training sessions are held 2 – 3 times per year for new volunteers, supporting their understanding of our team and protocols. Late August/early September is always a great time to get involved! Orientation involves filling out required paperwork, watching an informative video and becoming familiar with various aspects of the TRAC program. Come join our great team!
