Biography

Dean Cheryl Veronda was a brand manager and marketing director for 12 years, developing and managing brands most consumers are familiar with.  Switching careers after being an adjunct instructor at Centenary University, Pace, and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities, she has been a business faculty member at Centenary University for 28 years.  Dean Veronda graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Business Administration: Marketing, Summa Cum Laude.  She earned her MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School, where she was a class officer and was awarded an academic scholarship.  She was selected for the highly competitive International Management Program, spending a semester in England at the University of Manchester.

Dean Veronda also heads a consultancy specializing in marketing strategy including branding, positioning, and advertising. She serves as the Dean of the School of Business, Media, and Writing and previously directed Centenary’s First Year Program.  For ten years, Veronda directed Centenary’s SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Team (now known as Enactus), where students use the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives while developing their own potential.  Under Veronda’s leadership, the students achieved international prominence, including several championship finals.  Dean Veronda is also an active volunteer in the community; she was a founding member and past president of Hackettstown’s Main Street organization, working to revitalize the community’s downtown area.
