Many Centenary University Theatre students have taken advantage of the unique opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program semester. Indeed, several have returned to begin their careers as full time Disney employees.

As a Disney College Program participant, you’ll become part of the magic that is known worldwide. Gain valuable, on-the-job experience working in our parks and resorts, participate in college coursework, and have the opportunity to meet and live with people from all over the country and potentially the world in company-sponsored housing. This truly unique five- to seven-month program allows participants to network with leaders, take part in personal and career development classes, and build transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication.

Performing at Disney lets you experience the connection that the guests have to our stories and our characters first hand. You see their reactions and how it changes them for the better, you never know the effect you will have on someone. It also gives you the opportunity to work with amazingly talented show directors and choreographers that truly challenge you and help you to succeed.

“The Walt Disney World Company has been one of the many wonderful opportunities I have been able to take advantage of while attending Centenary University, and even after (post-graduate internship). The Disney College Program (DCP) was eye opening and taught me many skill sets including living on my own, customer service, and always keeping a smile on my face no matter what. When people told me it’d be “magical” working for Disney through the DCP, I thought they were joking. What people meant by magical was, all the people you meet/friends you make, watching the reactions of families and their kids attending the parks for the first time, fireworks, and the list could go on! I now have good friends from all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, China, and Canada. I recommend applying for the program to everyone I know!”

I am beyond grateful to have been able to participate in the Disney College Program during the fall of 2017. It was an incredible experience getting to work at Disney and also being able to spread the magic as a character performer. While participating in the program I have made so many memories and friendships that I will cherish forever. Thank you to my family, and everyone at Centenary for supporting my dreams.
